Acupuncture Pricing & Insurance

Transparent Rates | Honest, Results-Driven Clinical Care | Serving Our Local Community

All-Inclusive Acupuncture Billing: No Surprise Fees

We practice an honest, predictable approach to billing with zero surprise fees. Our acupuncture fee is strictly all-inclusive for your clinical time. There are no hidden administrative charges and no unexpected add-on fees for supportive modalities—such as electro-acupuncture or infrared heat therapy—that your condition genuinely requires during your session.

Our listed rates reflect a combined Grand Opening Special and a Time-of-Service (TOS) Cash Discount, passed on to you for clearing your balance on the day of treatment without insurance administrative friction. You pay one flat, clear rate for your expert care.

1. Initial Comprehensive Session (Consultation + First Acupuncture Treatment)

2. Follow-Up Clinical Acupuncture Session

3. Cosmetic Acupuncture (Self-Pay Only / Non-Billable to Insurance)

4. Cupping Therapy (Self-Pay Only / Non-Billable to Insurance)

Insurance Networks & Health Savings Accounts

1. Insurance Network Status (BCBS & UHC Pending)

To better serve our North Texas community, our practice is actively in the formal process of credentialing as an In-Network Provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and UnitedHealthcare (UHC). While our network contracts are processing over the coming months, we operate on a direct self-pay basis.

2. Out-of-Network Superbills

For patients with active acupuncture benefits through other major insurers (such as Aetna or Cigna), we gladly provide an itemized Superbill upon request. This receipt contains standard diagnostic (ICD-10) and procedural (CPT) codes, which you can submit directly to your insurance company to seek direct personal reimbursement or have the amount applied toward your annual deductible.

3. HSA & FSA Cards Welcomed

Because our treatments are performed by a Texas Licensed Acupuncturist, our services are generally eligible for HSA and FSA spending accounts. You may directly use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) debit cards, credit cards, or Apple Pay at checkout.

Why Our Lean, Efficient Space Benefits You

Our private practice inside the NT Suites is an intentionally simple, efficient, single-room clinical studio. By eliminating the heavy administrative overhead of corporate medical groups, crowded waiting halls, and aggressive front-desk staff, we pass those direct structural savings on to our patients—keeping premium, specialized care highly accessible for local families.

We operate a low-volume clinic focused entirely on accuracy and lasting recovery. When you are on our table, you never deal with rushed timelines or assistants taking over your care. You receive the undivided attention and precision of a veteran practitioner who holds a PhD from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and brings 30 years of international clinical experience, including 18 years serving in top-tier comprehensive teaching hospitals in China.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Pricing & Insurance

Why does my initial session cost more than follow-up treatments?

Your initial session involves a detailed, comprehensive evaluation and case intake alongside your first treatment. Dr. Yao takes dedicated time to analyze your specific condition—whether conducting localized range-of-motion testing for joint restriction or traditional tongue and pulse diagnostics for systemic disharmony. This ensures your multi-week Recovery Strategy is built upon an accurate, highly individualized baseline.

What is a Superbill, and how does it help me get reimbursed?

A Superbill is a standard itemized medical receipt formatted with the exact coding (ICD-10 diagnostic codes and CPT procedural codes) that insurance companies require. If your health insurance plan includes out-of-network acupuncture benefits, you can upload or mail this form directly to them. The insurance provider will then process the claim and mail a reimbursement check directly to your home or apply the amount to your annual deductible.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card for Cupping Therapy?

Yes, absolutely. Because Cupping Therapy is performed by a state-licensed practitioner for the relief of musculoskeletal tension and pain, it is generally eligible as a qualified expense (please confirm with your plan administrator). You can swipe your HSA/FSA card at our checkout terminal just like a regular credit card. Upon request, we will gladly provide a superbill to ensure your account compliance and smooth personal reimbursement.
